- fsMechanic recovers deleted files and gains access to the NTFS partitions under Windows 9x. fsMechanic uses original algorithms to recover deleted files. fsMechanic is a tool that allows you to work with disk images just as existing disks.

Creates image files for an entire hard drive, logical disk, or its part. Such image files can be processed like regular disks.

Encrypted files support (NTFS).
Access rights ignoring (NTFS).
Recognises localised names.
Long names support (FAT 12, FAT 16, FAT 32) .
Recovers folder structure.
Two algorithms of data recover (FAT 12, FAT 16, FAT 32).
Correct data recover under Windows® NT, 2000, XP, 2003 Server using FAT32 file system.
Original algorithm for folders recover deleted under Windows® NT, 2000, XP, 2003 Server (FAT32).
Recovered files can be saved on any (including network) disks visible by the host operating system.

Recoverable files:
That have been deleted bypassing Recycle Bin, or when Recycle Bin has been emptied.
From diskettes or another removable media such as ZIP, JAZ, Flash drives, digital cameras, digital players, etc.
